ASSESSMENT GENERATION AND DECISION SUPPORT

Generate assessments and follow their consequences

Generate assessments, connect supporting and conflicting evidence, and compare changes over time. Trace where a conclusion is used so operators can see what a new observation means for their decisions.

What is happening, and what does it imply?

Indicant generates assessments from incoming observations and source material. It connects the resulting claims to their evidence and makes gaps, contradictory observations, and uncertainty visible.

What supports the assessment?

Follow a conclusion to the exact frames, passages, or records behind it. Compare supporting and opposing evidence, examine assumptions, and see what would distinguish competing explanations.

How has the situation changed?

Compare successive assessments and identify what strengthened, weakened, or remained unresolved. Retain the earlier basis so later information does not rewrite what was known when a decision was made.

Are these independent observations?

Trace each report to its originating evidence. Identify shared sources and keep unknown origins unresolved, so repetition cannot stand in for independent corroboration.

Which decisions depend on this?

Trace recorded dependencies from a changed source to the assessments, outputs, and decisions that use it. Examine remaining support before changing a conclusion; a changed input does not by itself disprove it.

Evaluate the assessments generated, the evidence behind them, and their usefulness to an operational decision.
